Anyone have a LeBaron Foundry manhole frame and cover catalog?
Anyone have a LeBaron Foundry manhole frame and cover catalog?
(OP)
Trying to be a hero for a customer, we have an old, cast-iron LeBaron "heavy duty" LS368 36"Ø manhole frame and cover. It's for a smaller municipal airport but they want it to be rated for a 100,000 dual-wheel aircraft load. The LeBaron catalog we have does not indicate what "heavy duty" is and with the foundry out of business I doubt we're going to easily find a rating for this.
I'm prepared to run the numbers on it but it's thicker than similar typical cast aircraft rated manholes covers and I suspect is has more than enough capacity.
It's obviously much more attractive to just hand it to the customer and not delay the construction while I work up an FEA model. So, does anyone have any historic LeBaron Foundry documentation running around their libraries that lists a capacity for this frame and cover?
