Anyone have a LeBaron Foundry manhole frame and cover catalog?

Anyone have a LeBaron Foundry manhole frame and cover catalog?

Anyone have a LeBaron Foundry manhole frame and cover catalog?

Trying to be a hero for a customer, we have an old, cast-iron LeBaron "heavy duty" LS368 36"Ø manhole frame and cover. It's for a smaller municipal airport but they want it to be rated for a 100,000 dual-wheel aircraft load. The LeBaron catalog we have does not indicate what "heavy duty" is and with the foundry out of business I doubt we're going to easily find a rating for this.

I'm prepared to run the numbers on it but it's thicker than similar typical cast aircraft rated manholes covers and I suspect is has more than enough capacity.

It's obviously much more attractive to just hand it to the customer and not delay the construction while I work up an FEA model. So, does anyone have any historic LeBaron Foundry documentation running around their libraries that lists a capacity for this frame and cover?

Good info Badger, thanks. I saw that catalog but missed that it mentioned they bought out LeBaron and the table you highlighted. I'll give them a call and see what we come up with. Hopefully LeBaron's old "Heavy Duty" is EJ's "Extra Heavy Duty"...

Got in touch with a very helpful guy at EJ who stated that heavy duty is standard from LeBaron to EJ. However, he agreed that the cover we have appears to be thicker than a typical "heavy duty" cover. He's going to go play in their old LeBaron records and see if he can find the listed capacity for the number the cover was stamped with. Hooray for good customer service!
