I have a three blade propeller. How do I calculate the radial forces on the propeller shaft bearings due to gyroscopic forces when turning. The prop will run at 3000 rpm and generate 500 lbs of thrust. each blade wieghs 5.5 lbs and is 28 in. long. the center of gravity of each blade is 8.4 in from the hub. I'm not sure what moment will be on the propeller shaft when in a turn. If you know of other important considerations, please advise. Thank you.

Dear Sir, I'm trying to determine why you care about the gyroscopic loads.  In most of the  designs I have been involved in, they have not been a signifigant  factor in selecting the  bearing, since the thrust loads of most bearings in the range of 500 lbs have radial ratings far in excess of any load you will see.  If yu go to the Timkin home page, I believe the   engineering data manual is still free.
