Hello,
Question is determination of wps thickness range.
pipe type/size : A333GR6 6'' sch 60 (9.53mm)
impact test req. :yes -40.
Process: Gtaw/Smaw

So what is the wps min/max thickness range qualified shall be?
according ASME B31.1 Table 323.3.1 to t/2 to t+6mm ?
4.765mm - 15.53mm
or
according to Section IX QW 403.6 ?
9.53mm - 19.06mm

You reference table 323.3.1, but mention B31.1. Can we assume youre using B31.3?

/edt. Table 323.3.1 is for the size of the specimen to be impact tested: one piece (thickness T) for each range of thickness T/2 to T + 6 mm.

If the project is built in accordance with B31.3, then the T/2 to T + 6mm rule applies.
