.igs File

(OP)
Hello,

I pulled in an .igs file into my .prt file, just starting out, I received an .igs file from customer and Added Component that into my file. A portion of their model shows me outlines of how their parts (similar parts) change. These are segments of some sort, so then I projected a line onto a plane so that I can get a footprint of each part on a plane. How can I change the footprint from the .igs file to be lines similar to the projected line that I created?

Not sure if I'm approaching this correctly, but what I want to do with those lines is put a dowel tangent to each and the lines from the .igs file are giving me a problem.

If anyone understands this issue, I thank you in advance for your help.

Brent
