Post Tensioning

(OP)
Dear All,

In post-tensioned concrete girder, where one end stressing is specified,is it also acceptable to stressed a certain number of strands from the other end opposite the rests?

RE: Post Tensioning

How about a little more detail which might be relevant. Types of tendon, girder length, are the strands in one tendon or are they individual tendons that you want to stress from the other end?

And lastly, Why?

You could ask the designer!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'd put it a little stronger than that.

If you want to change a specified construction procedure, then you must ask the designer.

Even if you think it's trivial or obviously OK, just ask.
