Split part bodies into their own part automatially

Split part bodies into their own part automatially

Hello,

I have a part that has 50 or so part bodies from a supplier. In order to run a simulation, I have to take those part bodies and make them into their own part. Does catia have anyway to automate this process? or has anyone written a macro in order to do this?

Thanks!

RE: Split part bodies into their own part automatially

Yep. Google for CATIA Portable Script Center or search here.

Could you elaborate Jenia? I am not familiar with the portable script center

RE: Split part bodies into their own part automatially

CATIA Portable Script Center is a chm file where you can find a lot of macros doing different things. It was done just to serve as source of inspiration for CATIA users diving in CATIA automation, and once again, thanks to those users who contribute to create that chm file.

Regards
Fernando

Ferdo,

Thanks for the explanation.....Do you have a recommendation of where I can find a download?

RE: Split part bodies into their own part automatially

If they didn't think about this upfront, I'd just do it the old fashioned way, by hand and then let 'em pay for it. Basterds.
