NX 7.5 MACROS ARE NOT WORKIN IN NX9.

Hi all
Anyone can spark light on how to use NX7.5 macros in NX9.0
Thanks

RE: NX 7.5 MACROS ARE NOT WORKIN IN NX9.

That is the drawback of using Macro's. Most of the time they do not work in newer versions. Menu's are no longer in the same "location", features have been renewed, Interfaces rebuild....
The macro just can't find the commands anymore...
Best shot for you is to re-record them.

RE: NX 7.5 MACROS ARE NOT WORKIN IN NX9.

To clarify Ronalds reply,
A Macro simply records the buttons clicked, the name of the specific button , the cursor position etc etc.
and then when you play the macro it simply repeats the pushes you did when recording.
This will probably work in the NX version where you recorded the macro, but in every new release of NX commands change the name, the position of the button, commands retire etc and old macros will possibly fail.

Tomas

... and that's why people use journals or SNAP programs or NX/Open programs, instead of macros.
