Sealing requirements for California PE

Sealing requirements for California PE

Sealing requirements for California PE

(OP)
I am working on a project where we are having a third party seal the documents for a non-building structure in California. What are the requirements for a California PE for sealing construction documents? Must the original copies be submitted? How many copies are required? Can the drawing size be 11"x17"? Any links to the requirements in the California Building Code (2013) would be helpful.

RE: Sealing requirements for California PE

Ask your California engineer or the building department for the project. Submittal requirements vary by jurisdiction in California. I know one that has a maximum paper size (smaller than Arch E1) and another that requires bound volumes to weigh 60 lbs or less.

Here is a link to the California codes: http://www.bsc.ca.gov/Home/Current2013Codes.aspx
