Boundary Conditions for a Full model (unsymmetric model)

Boundary Conditions for a Full model (unsymmetric model)

Boundary Conditions for a Full model (unsymmetric model)

(OP)
Hi all,

Coordinate system : x,y are in-plane direction. z is the out-of-plane axis (vertical axis)

How to provide the boundary condition (constraining) for a full model , which is unsymmetric ? Which nodes to fix ?

For example :

For Quarter symmetry model : One node is fixed in x,y,z directions. Quarter symmetry faces are constrained in the respective x and y axis.

For Half symmetry model (symmetric about x-axis) : One node at the centre of the model is fixed in x,y,z directions. Half-symmetry face is constrained in x-axis.

For full model : How to give the constraints to the model to avoid rotations and translations ?

I am applying a temperature load on the model and checking the deformation.
