Sizing the jockey pump. (question)

Sizing the jockey pump. (question)

(OP)
hi everyone, I would like to know how to size the jockey pump. i have read that it must size 1% of the fire pump. please help me.

RE: Sizing the jockey pump. (question)

The purpose of the jockey pump is to maintain the pressure of the system so the fire pump doesn't have to.

I have not seen anything indicating what the flow rate should be, but it doesn't have to be much. I typically use 10 gpm. The TDH should be about 5-10 psig above what the system pressure is.
