Hi All,

As per our specification the required material grade is API 5CT T-95 PSL2

But, vendor will only be able to supply T-95 PSL1 instead of T-95-PSL2. What are the main differences between PSL-1 & PSL-2? Can we accept T-95 PSL1 ?

Regards

Why don't you get hold of a copy of API Spec 5CT and review the differences for yourself? Then you will be able to make a judgement based on the perceived quality needs of the product for your specific application. It's no use pleading for assistance on a forum from those of us who have no clue about what you intend to do with the items.

RE: API 5CT material grade PSL difference

A little history and caution : T 95 was the first grade of API OCTG that could not be made by every US mill. When it was first approved no mill in north america could make it ; they could not pass the NACE test. I don't have a current 5 CT but if you really need T 95 , I would want a mill that can pass a NACE test( per heat, and heat-treat lot) whatever PSL that requires .
