Thanks for the response Lockdain.

Looks like you did something similar to what I already tried. Not sure if you noticed but the part varies in thickness across the full length. I need to flatten the shape so the cross sectional view depicts the constant change in thickness.

The change in thickness is the element that makes this challenging.

The pic below is a sample of the cross section that I am trying achieve.

use what Lockdain did, then make sections across blade, use percentage of edge length to position them... 5 to 10, or as much as you need. Make them perpendicular to edges so you can have real sections. make sections on projected curves on same percentage of length of projected edge. Copy section using translation and rotation (measure rotation between section planes and CSYS planes). make solid from sections.
