Hi,

I hope someone can help me with this. I have this blisk and it has Variable Fillet. It starts from R7.7mm(leading edge) to R5.5mm(trailing edge). I am using NX10. Does anyone know if there a Grip Function that can help me to extract the Variable Fillet data. There is an attached solid model of the part and a fillet data. I appreciate if you can help me. Variable fillet is in Magenta color.

In NX, a variable-radius fillet (blend) will be a b-surface. The various NX programming tools do have functions to read the defining data of a b-surface. SNAP and NX/Open both have this functionality, certainly. I'm not sure about GRIP -- I never use it any more.

It sounds like the data you want is actually the radius at a sequence of points along the fillet. You can get these radius values by analyzing the curvature of the fillet surface (radius = 1/curvature). Again, SNAP and NX/Open have functions for calculating surface curvature, but I'm pretty sure that GRIP does not.

Another approach -- create isoparametric curves and measure their radii.
