SAW Flux Type of ERNiCrMo-3 (625 Filller)

(OP)
Hi Expert,

I have some question regarding Flux Type of SAW with 625 filler metal ,
Is there anybody here which have some experience about SAW with 625 filler metal ? Is there any concern about solidification crack with the flux of SAW 625 or there is another concern ? is there any brand which recommend for SAW flux and filler ?

we want to perform SAW to increase high productivity of 625 filler butt weld.

Your advise will be valuable

Thanks and Regard's

RE: SAW Flux Type of ERNiCrMo-3 (625 Filller)

Mr Tungsten,

In addition to the recommended links to Special Metals Products you may look at the products offered by Bohler Thyssen (Now-Voest Alpine)in this category. The documents uploaded here are from the data catalogue/datasheets available at the various sites in the web. The highlighted products belonging to 625 alloys would be of interest to you.

For Subarc welding of Austenitc and Nickel Base Alloys , the major issues are always with the flux.
Hence the knowing before hand flux characteristics and the wire+flux combination/characteristics are must.
I hope the attached information would be helpful to your query.

Thanks.

As I recall, we used to use Inco #7 flux with 3/32" ERNiCrMo-3 to weld alloy 625 to itself.
