I have a coupling model that transfers a constant speed and torque. This coupling have 3 type of misalignment (angular, parallel, combined angular and parallel). I have the static structural results of this coupling with each misalignment and constant torque but because of this misalignments when coupling rotates, stress value on each point of model changes in the sinusoidal form (If I consider a point on the coupling, it rotates with a constant radius on the static analysis model and experiences all stresses of the static model results with its same radius in each round). So in this case I have variable stresses because of the geometry, not variable torque, that makes fatigue analysis complex for me.
Please help me if you have any helpful idea with this fatigue analysis.
Is it possible that I define a sinusoidal function multiply in my stress results instead of using a load history curve that is not helpful because of my constant torque?
P.S.: I’m using Ansys workbench and Design Life module
