USE of Ferritic stainless steel for PCT core design

USE of Ferritic stainless steel for PCT core design

(OP)
Hi,

I intend to use SS-430/SS-430F or SS420 which are ferritic stainless steel for design of my PCT for a certain application where i can't use conventional ferrite cores and CRGOs as there is a certain mechanical design limitation.

What i wanted to know is, if anybody has done this before?

If, yes what are the challenges faced. I for instance find it difficult to find the magnetic properties like permeability, B/H curves for my design inputs.

Thanks,
Vasu
