SAE J518 (Code 62) on a ASME U-1 or U-2 pressure vessel

SAE J518 (Code 62) on a ASME U-1 or U-2 pressure vessel

SAE J518 (Code 62) on a ASME U-1 or U-2 pressure vessel

(OP)
1)Is anyone familiar with using a SAE-J518 (Code-62) flange on a ASME U-1 or U-2 coded Pressure vessel (other than a hyd accumulator) ?

2)Is a commercially available code 62 flange permitted by BPV code (Sec VIII div 1) ?

3)How about ASME B31.3 ?

4)Best explanation of why not (excluding O-ring temperature limit).

Sorry if I ask many questions at once but to me they are all related.
