ASME code vessels (Sec.8 Div.1) stamp expirations

Howdy howdy; *Is there an expiration on certified MAWP via U-1A form? I did not see any reference on U1-A as to how long from compliance sign-off is the rating good for etc...(?)
Particularly, I have vessels (used in gas industry) that have been in a yard for 10-15 years. Or is there a safe rule of thumb for re-test or re-cert...
thank you

RE: ASME code vessels (Sec.8 Div.1) stamp expirations

Section VIII requirements are for new construction. Many applications have requirements for in service inspection and testing as in the transportation sector. Jurisdictions have requirements for in service inspection as do user's insurance companies.

Sorry, I'm not.

Read your NBIC and the requirements will be indicated. Unless you are to change the original operating specifications or do major repairs there is no need to recertify, however, you should have your local authorized inspector do internal and external inspections.
