(OP)
Hello

I want to resquest the ouput at some positions within the domain which are not nodes of the mesh. Can I do it? I´m using Abqus CAE. 2D problem.

To my understanding, to request output of some nodes, first I have to define sets containing these nodes by using the "Set" in the Assembly module. Then I go the Step module and do it as usual. But if the point where I want to request some outputs is not a node of mesh or a vertex of the geometry I cannot pick it, because it does not exist. I have already tried to create datum point and then create a set with this point, but I can´t select them to form a set.

I tried to create partitions in order to get this points as geometry vertexes, but this partition messes with the mesh.

Is there any way to create a set of points without those point being nodes of the mesh or a geometry vertex ? Or get this results after running the job ?

Best regards,

Hi
can you show us your geometry?
