Tension and Compression of a square lattice

Tension and Compression of a square lattice

Tension and Compression of a square lattice

(OP)
Hello All,
Hope you all are doing well. I am stuck with this problem for quiet sometime. It will be great if anyone can help me with this.
I have an array of 2D square lattice which has two materials. Red=35000 MPa and Blue regions has 300 MPa in compression and 1500MPa in tension.

I tried to do Tension and compression of this model in ABAQUS. The red region is so thin that it is 1/600 times the side of the square.
I also attached a ABAQUS model image that shows the boundary conditions.

However when I try to plot the stress strain curve for Tension and Compression I feel that something is amiss.
I expected to see the that for a stress value for tension and compression it should reflect the modulus of Blue region.
Am I missing something? Please help me.I attached all the images for your kind perusal. Thankyou.
