Hello all,

Has any one experience with RFQ package of STEAM CONDENSER? can some one share this package for my refrence on my email -id - ias2007@yahoo.com.au

RE: STEAM CONDENSER PACAKGE RFQ

I presume that you own a copy of the HEI condenser standard?
Which side of this are you on, are you buying or building?

Hello , I am a buyer

RE: STEAM CONDENSER PACAKGE RFQ

Are you familiar with the HEI condenser standard?
I would suggest that you read through it, and then look at a package for an existing plant.
You will see some things that they added, and some that you wish had been included.
At its most basic all that you provide is inputs, steam flow and enthalpy, water flow available and seasonal temperature information. While that is technically enough you will want to spec a lot more.

RE: STEAM CONDENSER PACAKGE RFQ

Steam surface condensers come in many sizes and are specifically tailored for the plant configuration and proposed operation.

The buyer must completely describe his various thermal conditions (from a detailed heat balance); his steam and cooling water purity as well as the geometry of matching machinery. Design flow rates, vacuum conditions, etc must be decided by a detailed study of plant economics as well as performance limitations of adjoining equipment.

The buyer must describe and be knowledgeable of "off design" and emergency conditions such as steam dump

The buyer must select tube materials....

Steam surface condensers are huge and expensive machines that can strongly affect plant economics ..... if you have never specified one before, consider hiring a consultant for this important task....

Yaar123, such information may well be proprietary, meaning those who might wish to assist are not at liberty to do so. Like MJCronin said, you may want to seriously consider hiring a consultant.
