Limit a maximum distance in NX assembly constraints

Limit a maximum distance in NX assembly constraints

Limit a maximum distance in NX assembly constraints

Hello!
I stuck with a problem. I have the assembly with two parts, constrained with a Distance constraint. The designer idea is that the maximum distance between these components should be not bigger than 100 mm. It's necessary to move one of this components via Move component until the value of Distance constraint reaches 100 mm. Are there any ways to realize that in NX9? I'll appreciate any help or tip.

BUMP

RE: Limit a maximum distance in NX assembly constraints

We have also wanted to do this but use a min also to move between to constrains

RE: Limit a maximum distance in NX assembly constraints

I thought I saw something of what is in NX 11 that will have this capability.

I guess it's better to use Motion Simulation in my case, since NX9 doesn't support such functionality.

RE: Limit a maximum distance in NX assembly constraints

I'm a little late to this discussion, but what about using an expression for the mating condition and adding a check to it as in the following link?

Hello multicaduser,

I appreciate you for such a useful workaround, i will try it.
