Design of roof drainage gutters and downspouts?

Design of roof drainage gutters and downspouts?

(OP)
My dear friends

I have annual rainfall data. I need a good reference material for design of gutters and downspouts. Most tables and graphs are for small houses and not useful to my huge roof.

thanks
IJR

Show us a picture of your roof. I have a reference for commercial roofs.

Huge roofs usually have the drainage designed by a Mech engineer around here.

Or plumbing engineer. What type of drainage; conventional or siphon type?

You probably would have to have the drainage design stamped by a PE.

IJR....the most common reference in the US is the Sheet Metal and Air Conditioning National Association (SMACNA) Manual. This gives the rainfall data for various areas and the criteria for designing gutters and downspouts.
