(OP)
Hi,

I'm a dutch stress engineer, and willing to expand my experience by trying to get myself a job in Canada. I'm experienced in MSC.MARC.MENTAT, MSC.PARTAN.NASTRAN, Pro/Mechanica.

Does anyone has ideas, hints and tips where and how to look for a job?

RE: Working in Canada

In western Michigan there is a large Dutch community centered on Holland, Zeeland, usw. You would fit in naturally and comfortably. Come and visit and see for yourself. Good luck.

RE: Working in Canada

Ontario (Central Canada) has the largest population and the most manufacturing in Canada. Alberta is an oil and gas area : manufactuing and technology is growing fast here.
www.canoe.ca and www.canada.com both have links to news papers that post jobs in most canadian cities.
www.monster.ca has canadian job listings.

good luck!

RE: Working in Canada

A great Canadian job board for engineering is www.CareerOwl.ca

Also look into the CCPE web Site (Canadian Council of Professional Engineers) and some association web sites. The Manitoba site www.apegm.mb.ca has a page of links to these sites. Lots of information on registration etc.

We have had almost 6 weeks of daytime highs 0f –20C’s with night time lows to –40.  Why would you want to move here?

Good luck
