Hashin Failure Criteria used on Abaqus

Hashin Failure Criteria used on Abaqus

(OP)
Hi everybody,

I'm currently running some simulations on Abaqus, and I need to use CFRP material in my simulation. I've gathered all the data, and tried to use them in Abaqus. The thing is the Hashin Damage Model doesn't work with 3D elements (which ones I use in my simulation) and only works with plane stress formulation.

By the way, is there a mean to get around this problem using another formulation or a kind of artifice?

Modeling the composite part using shell elements could be a good solution?

Thanks for you help.
Have a good day.
