dear All,

can anyone share ideas whether PMI can be done on hot dip galvanised bolts or not? or
PMI is required to be carried out before coating?

RE: PMI on Already hot dip galvanized stud and nut

Unless you want to strip the galv from spots to test you had better do the testing before.

RE: PMI on Already hot dip galvanized stud and nut

I think you can do it but you have to scratch the galv coating off. Why do you need to PMI bolts? Are they structual bolts or pipe studs?

RE: PMI on Already hot dip galvanized stud and nut

Yes, before galvanizing.
