Hardness Values table in ASME B31.3

Hardness Values table in ASME B31.3

Hardness Values table in ASME B31.3

(OP)
Hi there,

I remember in ASME B31.3 there used to be a table, 331.1.1, which indicates the maximum hardness value for different materials.

I noticed that in 2014 version the hardness values are missing: have they been withdrawn for some reasons ?

Thanks,

S.

RE: Hardness Values table in ASME B31.3

I reviewed the 2014 edition and the maximum hardness values for various base materials appears to have been removed. I believe this happened when the PWHT tables were re-formatted by ASME B31 standards committee to better align PWHT requirements between the various B31.X committees.

Thanks metengr.

Exactly, I have a old revision, 1999, and it was there. It was a useful reference, but could not find it anymore in 2010 and 2014 edition.
