I am working on a project that will require large volumes of 5120H steel round bar. I have been able to get prices for mill run material however we are moving into the prototype stage right now and I cannot find a source for small volume. Does anyone know of a supplier that would have this material for prototype quantities?

RE: 5120H Steel

5120H material spec? ASTM, AISI, AMS... etc.

Also any special features, such as 'as received HT', required HT for service, allowed decarburization, min toughness @ HT, min/max stock dimensions, etc...

RE: 5120H Steel

Good luck finding that, we always have to use 8620 for initial prototype work until we get the full mill order for 5120.
