How to hide linked part in drafting NX9

How to hide linked part in drafting NX9

How to hide linked part in drafting NX9

(OP)
Wave linked part(yellow) is used for modeling upper plate.Later I changed reference set with hidden wave linked body in displayed upper plate part,as well in assembly.

In drafting however linked body is still visible, even though it's hidden in my reference set.

RE: How to hide linked part in drafting NX9

If you have your drafting in the same file as 3D you have to hide the body. The reference set doesn´t work in this case.

If you work with different file for drafting, are you sure you have "MODEL" in reference set column?

If you are using "MODEL" do you have deselect the linked body from the reference set? (NX by default will insert all solid bodies in MODEL)

I added new reference set,and hid everything except upper plate but it doesn't work for some reason, but when i tried "MODEL" and deselect the linked body from the reference set it worked.
Thank you!

RE: How to hide linked part in drafting NX9

I´m glad you can work with MODEL reference set.
But if you want to keep working with a new reference set for some reason.
Have you checked if you were using this reference set in drafting? By default drafting displays MODEL, and if you want to change it you have to do as you see in the picture:

Keep in mind that a reference set only works 1 level up...
So although it will show correct in the top level of your assembly, the assembly will be a subassembly of your Drawing (a drawing is after all an assembly where the drawing is the parent)...
So if you want a dedicated reference set (not model) for your linked body you need to create that in the toplevel of your assembly as well.
