I can produce very exciting structures in 3d shade mode, but only get 3d Wire frames in printout.SOS guys!
I need to it to bamboozle my Boss and his clients

Shading doesn't print, but rendering does.  Render, saveimg, then insert saved image in layout.

Flores solution should work but you could also do a "PRINT SCREEN". Athough the "print screen" is limited to the resoultion of your screen.

Autocad 2004 supports plotting in shade mode.

what I do is render then use a program called printkey 2000
version 5.10 (found at http://www.geocities.com/~gigaman/.
With this you can select what part of the screen you want to show (eg. only the rendered object and not all the toolbars ect..)and then save the snapshot as whatever file type you wish. However this is only a snapshot of the part and not a working model. It does "bamboozle Bosses and clients".
