Reverse Engineering using CATIA V5

Reverse Engineering using CATIA V5

Reverse Engineering using CATIA V5

(OP)
Hello,
I have scanned a model using 3D scanner and downloaded output as STL file, and I want to do modifications to that STL file in CATIA V5 using
STL rapid prototyping
digitized shape editor
quick surface reconstruction tools.
Can any one please give me quick idea about how to modify my stl file so that there wont be any holes gaps in final model.
I have few questions like
can I do modifications directly using STL file in CATIA V5 or I have to convert it in to any other format?

please provide me with some reference links if possible
Thanks in advance.

RE: Reverse Engineering using CATIA V5

Did you check the online doc?

You should be able to import your STL into CATIA. Then you can use DSE to clean it up.

Then what will you do with your cloud / mesh if I may ask as usually this is the beginning, not the end...

RE: Reverse Engineering using CATIA V5

There are a lot of information over the Internet including videos about that.
Just ask youtube Catia V5 reverse engineering and that's all.
