Elevator with no lobby

(OP)
Hi,

In the case of shopping mall, if the lifts/elevators are without lobby, will there be a concern smoke might spread through the lift shafts to other floors?
Do we need then to pressurize the lift shaft?

Please advise.

Thank you.

RE: Elevator with no lobby

There is always the chance of smoke spreading anywhere. What is the local code for lift shafts?
