story shear in SAP2000

(OP)
hey im doing a design of steel structure , in unbraced frame we gotta calculate the moment amplification(B2) and its necessary to find the story shear (H), how do i find the story shear in SAP2000? im using spectrum respons analysis for this case, ive tried the section cut method but when i look at the table (display-> display table) its just 0 kips am i missing something?

RE: story shear in SAP2000

Unfortunately you will have to do that in a manual way by defining a Section cut and retrieving the forces from the Display->Show Tables menu item. SAP does not consider stories, consequently story shears are obtained indirectly as said. On the other hand, Etabs provides story forces immediately.
