Add Constraints to Assembly Array Children

Add Constraints to Assembly Array Children

Add Constraints to Assembly Array Children

(OP)
I have created an assembly where I have arrayed some of the components. I then added a new component that I wish to constrain to the arrayed components only. NX allows me to add the constraints, but they have no effect! The new component can still be moved around using the Move Component command, and the assembly constraints do not turn red to indicate that there is anything wrong. There is no issue if I wish to constrain the component to the parent components in the array, but constraining to the array children does not have any effect.

Is anybody able to explain what I am doing wrong?

I am using NX7.5 with Teamcenter 9.

RE: Add Constraints to Assembly Array Children

I've tried to repeat this issue on NX9, but with no luck. If the parent array component is constrained the proper way - then it's possible to add new constraints to child components and they'd resolve without any issues.
