Pore Pressures - Staged Construction

Pore Pressures - Staged Construction

(OP)
1. If an undrained sloped stability evaluation indicates acceptable safety factors for full loading, would measurement of pore pressures beneath an embankment over soft clay
be necessary (from a theoretical perspective) to avoid high PWP buildup leading to a failure?

2. What is a good reference for determining acceptable pore pressures during staged embankment construction over a soft clay; so as to compare with piezometer data?
