Chilled Water Piping System with Secondary Pump

Chilled Water Piping System with Secondary Pump

(OP)
Hi Guys, i have a question. Isn't it that in a close loop piping system is that we only consider the pipe and fitting loss + loss in chiller, fahu, ahu etc.?
How about in a close loop with a secondary pumping system? Can we add the static lift (Height) or still negligible? Kindly see attached file for your reference.
Your comments will be a big help. thanks

RE: Chilled Water Piping System with Secondary Pump

So long as it is a closed system and the pressure at the highest point is above atmospheric, there is no height component.

Thank you Sir LittleInch.

RE: Chilled Water Piping System with Secondary Pump

Just remember that at some point you need to be able to fill the system and that will have the height component which the circulation pump won't be able to handle.

Usually a small fill / pressurisation pump is also included somewhere in the system able to do this occasional filling exercise.
