Plotter Setup

Plotter Setup

Plotter Setup

(OP)
Good Morning,

I was wondering if someone could breakdown the steps required to properly set up a plotter.
Currently I am able to "print" to it, but not "plot".

I am using:
- Windows 7 Pro 64-bit
- NX 10
- and an HP T770 Plotter connected through network

RE: Plotter Setup

Good morning,
It's been a while but I'll try to recall how I set ours up.
I know that you first have to have your printers and plotters setup as printing devices on you machine. I'm on windows 7 as well.
Then you have to create a Printer Group. That's done under 'File->utilities->Printer Administration'
You'll most likely need to select 'Create and Edit'
It should pop up a dialogue and ask you to browse to where you want to create the group.
I think if you use the default it will allow you to create on where you want. If you choose 'Specify Directory' it will want you to navigate to where there is an existing group.
(I created mine and have it stored on the network)
Once you have that established I believe clicking the 'OK' box will bring up the SDI Print Master - Printer Administration panel.
That is where I 'added' my already established printers from Windows 7.
Select OK and you should be all set.

I may have missed a step or two so play around with it. I'm sure you'll figure it out from there! :) Happy plotting!
