What is the standard fire pump for a 2 storey building for 2 fire hose cabinet

(OP)
Good day!

Am new here in Saudi arabia and my project is a existing school 2 floor and has a 3 horse power pump for 2 fire hose cabinet only and the company that my boss hire for this project is insisting that it is a standard here in Saudi for a 5 horse power is their any basis or document telling that the 5 horse power is the standard. Thank you for the help..

RE: What is the standard fire pump for a 2 storey building for 2 fire hose cabinet

Dear Triyk21 , a fire hose cabinet needs minimum of 50 gpm with a pressure not less than 3 bar according to Saudi Civil Defense regulations. So you'd calculate the pressure drop to the most remote FHC to determine if the pump is OK or not .
