(OP)
thread378-122199: P&ID Symbology I have been researching this from some time now and I have ran accross several P&ID STANDARD like ANSI Y32.11, AIA and PIP 001. I was prompt to check into this because the company I work for us in the process of converting our P&IDs to "Smart" P&IDs and a lot of them are so congested that tagging, instrument balloons etc need to be re-arranged for fit and legibility so I wanted to know oil and gas Indusrty Standards. Is there any on out there who know what P&ID Standard the big three uses referring to Bechtel, Fluor and Jacob.

RE: thread378-122199 I have been resear

They mostly use the clients' standards.

Each project may also have a slightly different P&ID as well.
