Bending load on bolts

I was looking at calculating the bending stress on bolts due to a combined load and came upon this link http://www.roymech.co.uk/Useful_Tables/Screws/Bolt...

Could someone explain the formula Fnt = ( Fv. Rv + Fh. Rh) . Vn / (V1^2 + V2^2....Vx^2)? Especially the denominator. I've marked this in the screenshot.
