ISO 17292 - Minimum P/T rating for Soft seated Ball valve

ISO 17292 - Minimum P/T rating for Soft seated Ball valve

ISO 17292 - Minimum P/T rating for Soft seated Ball valve

(OP)
Dear Valve expert,

What is the meaning of "Table 1 — Minimum seat pressure/temperature rating" in ISO 17292? How does this restrict the design / sealing-ability of Ball against Seat?

Thank you,
Regards,
MR

All valves will last for years, except the ones that were poorly manufactured; are still wrongly operated and or were wrongly selected

RE: ISO 17292 - Minimum P/T rating for Soft seated Ball valve

The table lists the minimum pressure that the ball must hold at a given temperature. For example if you had a 2.5" floater valve with a PTFE seat insert you would need to be capable of holding 51 bar at -29C and 7.5 bar at 175C. The table is broken into trunnion and floater sections with the floater section further broken down by bore size.
