Crack along Precast Concrete Wall

Crack along Precast Concrete Wall

(OP)
We are using steel bar along loop wire for precast concrete panel to panel connection and is grouted with non shrinkable grout afterwards. Even than crack is appearing along the joint.Even tried of chipping crack and filling it with SIKA Dur but situation persist. Can anybody suggest me solution.

RE: Crack along Precast Concrete Wall

You're attachment was a blank page with a red circle.

If the joints in question are on a flat surface try methyl methacrylate.

RE: Crack along Precast Concrete Wall

I would think that the connection provides axial and shear but very limited moment transfer across the joint. Any out of plane bending will cause some flexure and subsequent cracking. This moving joint needs a flexible sealant system to cross the transition.
