A word of caution, that may or may not be applicable.

I discovered several years ago that the heads of typical 'American' metric pan heads may be taller than rest of the world metric pan heads.

i'm not familiar with this standard,usually i refer to JIS standard,for making a product i need reference.
and i dont know where i buy or download DIN standard.please share me if you have source

Start at Maryland Metrics, as already suggested.


Last time I looked, which was a long time ago, there wasn't a DIN standard for pan head screws, but there were standards for somewhat similar but not so tall 'cheese head' screws.

When the 'Merican car manufacturers started converting to metric, they did pretty much as they pleased, standardizing their own pan head screws with metric threads. ... which they could do, because they buy so many of them.

NOTE : probably DIN standards about fasterners are superseded by EN Standards. You should know the DIN one so to check if is still ruling or not
