ASME Section VIII vs. ASME Section I - PSV Specific

ASME Section VIII vs. ASME Section I - PSV Specific

(OP)
I did a search but didn't find this, so if I missed an applicable thread please gently point me in the right direction.

I'm working on sizing some PSVs and while I am quite familiar with the API calculations for capacity as well as applicable scenarios, I'm a bit at a loss as to the mechanical side of things, code stamping and so forth.

My question is how do I determine whether the PSV data sheet should reference ASME Section I vs. ASME Section VIII?

And a related question, is there a chart or comparison out there that is PSV specific (and is that even a "thing"?) with reference to these two codes?

Thank you!

-Matt
