NX8.5 expression and part position interface

NX8.5 expression and part position interface

NX8.5 expression and part position interface

(OP)
Good morning,

I need some help and maybe someone has tried this before and got it to work.
If I place a part with expressions in my top level assembly, it works. But if I change the expression value, the part does not move to the new “position”. End If I check value of the part (point), it is the same as the original expression. For some reason it does not update.

Any ideas why?

Thank you in advance!

Regards,
Zach

RE: NX8.5 expression and part position interface

You say the "part position interface". By this, do you mean Assembly Constraints? If you do and we're talking about such Constraints as Distance and Angle, or constraining a Component to some geometric object whose size/shape/location can be controlled by an Expression, then it should work just fine.

RE: NX8.5 expression and part position interface

Yes... When you say "place a part with expressions", what exactly does that mean to you?
