I know the FACP/FACU is required to have a dedicated 20A circuit, but I can't find a requirement for remote power supplies and remote amplifiers to also have dedicated branch circuits. I assume by NFPA's silence that these field devices can be powered by normal power on a non-dedicated circuit, correct?

Looking specifically for code requirements/language from 2007 to current, not really worried about manufacturer, AHJ, or secondary power requirements at this time.

RE: NFPA 72 - FACU, RPS, AMP Power

I don't have access to the the 2007 edition but in the 2013 edition of NFPA 72, Section 10.6.5.1 was revised to read The branch circuit supplying fire alarm equipment(s) or emergency communication system(s) shall supply no other loads and shall be supplied by one of the following: .... which can be utility power or a engine driven generator. My interpretation is that power supplies for occupant notification devices or voice communication systems require a dedicated branch circuit.

I agree with your opinion, thanks.

Our recently installed panels have their own UPS as back up and their AC circuits are common for other systems
