Defining cold-formed steel angle section in RISA3D

Defining cold-formed steel angle section in RISA3D

(OP)
I am trying to define an L3xx2x1/4 steel section on RISA3D. This section is to be AISI cold-formed and to have AISI 316L section properties. I tried RISASection but it constrains you to a hot-rolled material type when attempting to define an angle section. Is there any way around this to force it to calc as a cold-formed section?

RE: Defining cold-formed steel angle section in RISA3D

RISA doesn't do code checks on cold formed single angles. That's true whether the member is created in RISA-3D or brought in from RISASection.

If the member is specified as a hot rolled steel angle, then the program will give you good analysis results. But, the code checks will be based on the hot rolled steel designed code not the AISI cold formed code.
