Is it possible to override PMI dimension text?

Is it possible to override PMI dimension text?

Is it possible to override PMI dimension text?

(OP)
Dear All,

I'd like make a dialog with a picture demonstrating dimensions of the reusable part. If making this picture in 2D drafting, I can override the dimension text to a meaningful one as below. But if in 3D view by PMI dimension, I can't do the same thing, and I haven't found where to override the PMI dimension text.

Any advise or workaround?

Tan

It seems impossible...

I'd like make a dialog with a picture demonstrating dimensions of the reusable part.

The dialog box most likely uses a raster image; generate the basic image where you like (drafting, modeling, etc), then edit it to your liking with a graphic design program (photoshop, gimp, windows paint, etc).

For your image can you turn you 2D view to "shaded" and get the same result?

RE: Is it possible to override PMI dimension text?

In the past, I've done 3D view dimensioning, before PMI... Work in Expanded view and move/orient your X-Y plane to where/how you want to put your dimension and dimension, then edit text, etc...
