Variable offset (more than 4 points)

Variable offset (more than 4 points)

(OP)
Hi,
Is it possible to variable offset a face or at least a curve using more than 2 or 4 points. I have a necessity to produce an offset face that will repeatedly vary from 0 offset, to positive, to negative and 0 offset again. It would be best, if this was a part of synchronous modelling toolset..

RE: Variable offset (more than 4 points)

If you need more control than the variable offset command offers, try the I-form or X-form commands.

RE: Variable offset (more than 4 points)

As Cowski says, the X-form/ I-form are kind of synchronous tools.
But if you need exact offsets at exact positions, i assume that you need to create points offset from the base face and then create a surface through the offset points.

Regards,
Tomas
