Need help how to read electrical control diagram.
(OP)
Hello Guys, I'm getting trouble in reading this diagram. can any one help me to read this 3 phase electrical motor control diagram, its belong to a ship anchor windlass system.to lift ship anchor.
system has three speed 3 phase ac motor and using dc source for motor braking.
thanks in advance

I'm not really seeing a third speed anywhere.... Anyone else?

RE: Need help how to read electrical control diagram.
Nine leads to the motor.
KM4
L14, L24, L34
KR2
8U, 8V, 8W
It looks like a two speed motor with an added winding for the third speed.

KM1, KM2 Forward and reverse.
Over on the upper right is a seven position switch.
Positions L3, L2, L1, Off, R1, R2, R3.
The black dots show which circuits are closed in which switch positions.
eg:
In position L3, the following sections are closed: SA3, SA5, SA6, SA7.
In position L2, the following sections are closed: SA3, SA5, SA7
Etc.
Is this what you are looking for?

RE: Need help how to read electrical control diagram.
KA1 - trips on overload, manual reset
KM3 - low speed contactor for Dahlander winding in 'low' configuration
KM4 + KM5 - mid-speed contactors for Dahlander winding in 'high' configuration
KM6 - high speed contactor for separate winding

understand little more then b4 how this circuit work,I appreciate your time .Working on ac generators there impedance are not matching getting hard time to operate in parallel.
Thanks guys for reply
